Grandpa and Grant go to Chelsea to Babysit David

May 7, 2014

We were happy to babysit David when the daycare had a short-notice closure.  As soon as we arrived, Sam had to leave for Montessori with Papa.  But not before he showed us his ability to ride a two-wheeler without training wheels.  Sam is trying to keep up with Stella.

David came out in his PJs  and toque to say goodbye.  He pointed out a bird that flew overhead.  It was a yellow-bellied Sapsucker.

David went back in to get dressed, then came right back out to try the push tricycle.

We headed over to the fire hall with David pointing out birds at every opportunity.  Grant helped him climb on the plastic green covers.  David liked it, and told Grant "encore".

He spotted a robin on the grass and tried to get close to it.

We went back home and David tried the wagon.  Then we went on another hike around Pine Loop with the push tricycle.  Boots was tired, so Grant gave him a dog treat.  It was so nice, we decided to have a picnic lunch outside.  The sapsucker kept hammering away at a tree by the driveway and the 2x4s on the tree house.

David was pooped and had a very long nap until Maman got home.
