Chelsea Boys at Home

October 24, 2014

As Kirk and Karine were off to the NAC to see The Importance of Being Earnest, we had playtime and supper with the boys. It started with outside fun.

When we came inside, David proudly showed us the new kitchen he got for his birthday. He likes to shake salt on the food while it is cooking. He also likes to talk on the phone attached to the cupboard.

Sam and Grandpa enjoyed some chocolate ice cream they had made together at the cottage this summer. Then Sam waved goodbye to Maman and Papa.

He wanted to show us his new Hallowe'en costume - he loves being a pirate! Soon the pirate was playing with David's train and then settled down to watch a video.

Meanwhile, David had fun playing with his new tugboat in the bath.

Soon it was story time. While Uncle Grant read Sam his favourite train book, Grandpa and David enjoyed their story time in the rocking chair. Then the tired boys settled down for a good sleep.

David Celebrates at Saunders Farm

October 13, 2014

This year David had four grandparents, two parents, one brother, one uncle, one aunt and three cousins together for his birthday party at Saunders Farm. It was a warm sunny day outdoors in the country. It was a good day for being two years old.

The kids found the farm playground fun.

The tractor and wagon ride were interesting too.

Climbing on wooden horses and vehicles was also popular. Sam loved ringing the bell on the train.

As soon as the cousins arrived we headed over to the Jumping Pillows.

Then off to the pirate's ship. And onto the big Witch Mountain slide. Lots of smiles!

The birthday lunch was waiting. Then the kids started an impromptu game of ball.

Some gifts...

And a yummy boat birthday cake...

The big kids/adults tried the Amaizeing corn canon...

David loved feeding the animals...

Then the birthday boy was ready for a nap...

He relaxed in his chariot as Papa pushed him through the long Mile Maze. Finally... we reached the tower in the middle of the maze.

After the maze we checked out the observation tower.

Some of us even tried another little maze.

Samuel couldn't resist a spin on a pedal cart.

The little ones enjoyed some music.

Then it was time to find a BIG pumpkin to take home...
