Grandpa's Birthday at the Cottage

August 26-27, 2017

The boys brought their new kitten, Sophie, to the cottage as well as Boots. Sophie made herself at home right away.

A puzzle kept us busy for awhile then the boys went fishing.

Kirk and Karine helped create a spit to cook two pork loins over the fire.  This worked just fine and made for a tasty dinner. Our scouting friend Neil dropped in for a visit.

The next morning was Grandpa's birthday - Sam made him some yummy cinnamon buns for breakfast. Then the boys they helped him make chocolate ice cream which we all enjoyed for lunch.

Sam, David and Grant entertained us with their bouncy tubing runs.

Grandpa and Kirk finished the last few boards on our new raft...

Then he enjoyed his birthday cake and a lovely sunset.
